Kate HudsonKate Hudson and Owen Wilson’s reported reconciliation has worried Kate’s friends and family because the couple’s relationship was so difficult the first time around.

On-off couple Kate and Owen are said to have got back together late last month and are currently in Florida together - Owen is filming Marley and Me with Jennifer Aniston while Kate has been attending the Miami International Film Festival and catching some rays in a bikini.

However a friend of Kate’s told OK magazine that everyone in her world is hoping this is just a fling and not the start of another serious relationship between the You, Me and Dupree co-stars: “Kate fell for Owen so hard that she risked everything and went head first into love with him.”

“But even during the year they were together, it was a roller coaster.”

Owen is said to have been unwilling to commit to the Almost Famous actress before their split in May last year and in August, he was hospitalised after an apparent suicide attempt.

Another friend added: “Owen made the first move to reconcile. He’d been relaying her messages through mutual friends for a few months.”

“Kate was hesitant at first, but after seeing how well he’s been doing, she felt like she owed it to him to meet up and hear him out.”

“She cares about him, so they are going to slowly start seeing each other again and see how it develops.”

“[But] I hope what’s going on now is just temporary. I’d be very, very worried if they got back together seriously. It is ridiculous for her to think he’s all better in eight months.”
