Cynthia NixonSex and the City star Cynthia Nixon has opened up about her relationship with partner Christine Marinoni.

Cynthia left husband of 15 years Danny Mozes shortly before she started dating Christine in 2003 but she says her children with Mozes coped with the transition well.

She said recently: “They were fine. My [now 6 year old] son was very little [when it happened], but my [now 11 year old] daughter has a gay uncle [and her godmothers] are lesbians so she didn’t see it as anything strange.”

She called her four year relationship with the New York education activist “fantastic” and added: “I’m in love with [Christine] because she’s her. If she were a man, would I be in love with her? I don’t know.”

“We shop and cook and raise children - we both pitch in.”
