Britney SpearsBritney Spears has landed a small guest role on the US show How I Met Your Mother to “keep her busy”.

A spokesperson for the series yesterday confirmed to OK magazine that “Britney will have a guest role on the show this season” and an inside source added that she’ll likely play a woman working at the lead character Ted’s doctor’s office.

A source close to Britney added that her agent made a deal with the producers on the show after her dad/conservator Jamie Spears agreed to her participating in “a small legitimate project that will keep her busy doing something”.

Britney previously made a cameo appearance in Will and Grace in 2006.
