Britney SpearsBritney Spears may be planning a television cameo in the flesh but she’s been turned into a cartoon for her new video.

Due to her hospitalisation and ongoing treatment over the last six weeks, the star wasn’t available to make the clip to promote new single ‘Break the Ice’ so an animated cartoon was made instead, placing a stylised version of the singer in a futuristic environment.

Sources explained: “Since Britney has been otherwise occupied this was a creative and fun way to do her next video.”

“Now she’s free to just concentrate on getting better.”

The single was released in the US last week but won’t hit the UK until 7th April.
