Ashlee SimpsonAshlee Simpson has revealed that she finds it strange that she’s a magazine cover girl.

Ashlee told Us Weekly recently: “I used to look at a beautiful girl on the cover of a magazine and think I could never be that.”

The singer has adopted several different looks since she released her debut album and stared on a reality series, The Ashlee Simpson Show in 2004 - from a dark do, to blonde, to her current sleek red - but her biggest change came with a rhinoplasty in April 2006. She added: “I was never really unhappy with how I looked, [and] I don’t think I am more beautiful than I was [before]. I just see the same old goofy girl I see every day.”

“I like to get dressed up now, and that’s something I’ve never been into before.”

“I definitely embrace my sexy side, but at the end of the day, I still feel like the girl next door.”
