Scarlett JohanssonA Scarlett Johansson fan has paid £20,000 for a 20-minute date with the actress at the premiere of her new film.

The date, which was offered on eBay to raise money for Oxfam, will take place at the premiere of He’s Just Not That Into You in Los Angeles in July. As well as Scarlett, the event is set to be a star-studded one as the film also stars Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Connelly and Ben Affleck.

Bidding started at just £1 but raised to £20,000 over the auction’s 10 day run.

A spokesperson for Oxfam said the charity was pleased with the outcome of the auction: “To get £20,000 for a 20-minute date and a pair of tickets to help us fight poverty is fantastic.”

“All of this money will be used to help us fight poverty in countries all over the world.”

Other “celebrity dates” will be offered, including a lunch date with mum-to-be Minnie Driver and accompanying Kristin Davis to the Sex and the City premiere in New York in May.
