Halle Berry gives birth to a baby girl

Halle Berry has become a mum for the first time after giving birth to a baby girl over the weekend.

The Monsters Ball star checked into Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Saturday after she began to feel contractions and gave birth to her daughter on Sunday morning. Her partner Gabriel Aubry is said to have been with her throughout the labour.

Halle’s spokesperson confirmed the birth yesterday evening and told Us Weekly: “Everyone is doing great!”

The baby’s name has yet to be revealed.
