Ashley Cole and Cheryl ColeAshley Cole is reportedly planning to replace his wife Cheryl Cole’s £80,000 wedding ring in a bid to get her wearing it again.

The Girls Aloud star has refused to wear the jewel since finding out about Ashley’s infidelity in January and a source close to the couple told the Mirror: “Ashley is crushed every time Cheryl refuses to wear the ring. He is desperate for them to move on and is keen to make her happy.”

“He wants to buy a new ring, twice as blinging, and will easily spend £160,000.”

“He wants Cheryl to have the choice of wearing something new if she can’t face wearing the old one because it brings back bad memories.”

Ashley is said to have been on his best behaviour since Cheryl moved back to the marital home last month and has declined an invitation to party with his Chelsea teammates this weekend to stay close to Cheryl instead. Cheryl spent last Saturday night with Girls Aloud bandmates Sarah Harding and Nicola Roberts at London’s Burlington club.
