Heather MillsHeather Mills reportedly celebrated being awarded a divorce settlement of £24.3million yesterday by tipping a glass of water over the head of Paul McCartney’s lawyer.

After entering with a bouffant hair do, Fiona Shackleton was spotted with a wet-look don’t when she left the Royal Courts of Justice in London after the 3 1/2 hour hearing yesterday afternoon - and according to eyewitnesses, Heather was behind the soaking.

An inside source told the Sun: “Heather tipped the water over Fiona’s head.”

“She didn’t throw it. It was cool, calm and collected. It trickled down Fiona’s neck.”

“She waited until the hearing was over. The judge would have taken a very dim view of it if he’d seen it.”

Speaking on the steps of the courthouse after the settlement was finalised, Heather told reporters that there was no love lost between the two women: “Fiona Shackleton has very sadly handled this in the worst manner you could ever, ever imagine. She has called me many, many names before even meeting me when I was in a wheelchair.”

Details of the settlement

Many of the details of the case will remain secret but a summary of the judgement was released after the hearing yesterday.

Justice Bennett, who ruled on the case after the warring parties couldn’t reach an agreement, judged that Heather should receive the £24.3million after finding no evidence that Paul was worth any more than £400million. Heather had initially requested a package worth £125million while Paul was offering one worth £15.8million.

In addition to a £16.5million lump sum and retention of £7.8million worth of assets, Heather will also receive £35,000 a year in child support payments for daughter Beatrice and Paul will be responsible for all child-care and school expenses.

The judge dismissed allegations of misconduct by either party during the marriage, deeming them “irrelevant” to the financial settlement, but a condition of the judgement stipulates that both parties are strictly prohibited from publishing or otherwise disclosing information regarding any details of the divorce or marital confidences.
