Maggie Smith undergoing treatment for breast cancer?
Double Oscar-winner Maggie Smith is reportedly undergoing treatment for breast cancer.
The 73 year old actress, who plays deputy headmistress Minerva McGonagall in the Harry Potter films, is said to be undergoing radiation therapy around filming of the latest movie in the series, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
A source told the Sun: “She is dealing with it in her typically brave and understated way.”
“She has had a tumour removed and completed a course of chemotherapy.”
“This was precautionary and the prognosis looks good. The last thing she wants is fuss.”
Her spokesperson refused to comment on the rumours, saying: “We never comment on our clients’ private lives.”
