Jamie Lynn Spears doing surprisingly well with her pregnancy

Jamie Lynn Spears has reportedly surprised family and friends with how well she’s handling her pregnancy.

In December last year, the 16 year old announced she was expecting her first child with on-off boyfriend Casey Aldridge and even though her growing bump prompted a great deal of speculation and media attention, sources close to the family say Jamie Lynn is doing well.

A source in Kentwood, Louisiana told OK magazine: “She has such a level head on her. She is handling this situation with a maturity that is surprising even her own family.”

“She’s not even worried about how much weight she puts on or doing any special exercises. At her age, her body will bounce right back and she knows it.”

Since announcing the pregnancy, Jamie Lynn has had time off from her Nickelodeon series Zoey 101 and has passed the time taking her high school equivalence exam, shopping and hanging out with friends: “She’s behaving like a pretty normal teen.”

A second source added that Jamie Lynn is also keen to re-establish her close relationship with her older sister Britney Spears. The sisters are said to have become somewhat estranged last year when Britney fought with their mum Lynne Spears and lost custody of her own children: “Jamie Lynn really wants Britney to get custody of her sons again so their children can grow up together. She thinks it would be really cute to have them all running around together.”
