Renee ZellwegerRenée Zellweger has hinted at the reason for her current short hair style - her locks were damaged after repeated chemical treatments.

The Bridget Jones star told In Style recently that her hair has been dyed so often from blond to brown and other colour for film role that she’s surprised it’s not all fallen out: “it’s still attached to my head, by the grace of God.”

She explained the worst experience she had was when it was dyed a dark brown for Miss Potter last year: “What I didn’t know is the temporary stuff stains the inside of the shaft, so you can’t get it out.”

“[It faded to] Ronald McDonald red. Then it faded to pumpkin. Then it was pink, then mango. Mango hair - now that’s a look.”
