Coleen McLoughlinEven though Coleen McLoughlin’s celebrity stems from her relationship with Manchester United star Wayne Rooney, she’s reportedly not planning on taking his name when they marry later this year.

The high school sweethearts, who sold exclusive coverage of their wedding to OK magazine for £3.2million, are planning to marry this summer and are believed to be looking for a castle in either Italy or Ireland for the ceremony and reception.

But a source close to Coleen told Hello! magazine that the WAG has no plans to become Mrs Rooney: “She is adamant that she will keep her maiden name even after they are wed.”

“McLoughlin is the name by which she is known and she sees no reason to change it.”

Coleen’s fellow WAG Alex Curran also kept her own name after marrying Steven Gerrard last year but when Girls Aloud’s Cheryl Tweedy left her maiden name behind when she married Chelsea star Ashley Cole, going as far as to have “Mrs Cole” tattooed on the nape of her neck.
