Angelina Jolie and Brad PittNew tax documents show that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt put their money where their mouths are when it comes to supporting charitable organisation around the world.

Newly released federal tax documents show the couple gave more than $4million each to charity in 2006. Organisation to benefit include Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors without Borders), Global AIDS Alliance, Global Green USA, the Epidermolysis Bulloma Medical Research Foundation, the Namibia Red Cross Action Program (after the birth of their daughter Shiloh in the country in May that year) and the Daniel Pearl Foundation, as Angelina played Daniel’s widow Marianne Pearl in the film A Mighty Heart.

The couple also gave smaller donations to an art park in Los Angeles and two separate donations to orphanages that Angelina visited in Africa.

Angelina has previously said she gives around a third of her “stupid income” to charity, lives on another third and saves the final portion.
