Scratched-up Amy Winehouse funding husband’s drug habit in jail?
Amy Winehouse’s husband Blake Fielder-Civil has reportedly asked the singer to fund his drug habit while he remains in prison.
Blake has been on remand in HMP Pentonville, London since November and even though he first claimed to have beaten his drug addiction by going cold turkey on entering the jail, more recently he is said to have swapped signed photos of his wife in exchange from drugs and was hospitalised after using a contiminated batch.
Now a source has told the Sun: “Blake’s addiction is just as bad as ever and he’s bragging about how he’s been asking Amy to help him get a fix.”
“He showed us the bank details of a known dealer inside Pentonville and said he’d asked Amy to make regular wire transfers to this guy in exchange for heroin.”
“Apparently he wanted each transfer to end in a single pound, so the dealer would know who the money came from.”
The source added that the drug is sold for around four times its street value within the prison but “Blake doesn’t care as long as he gets his hit.”
“He’s [also] prepared to put his wife at risk. It shows how desperate he’s become.”
Amy was spotted visiting Blake at the prison on Thursday and as well as mysterious scabs on her faces, she sported fresh scratches on her left arm.
Her dad Mitch Winehouse told the News of the World: “I saw the cuts and told Amy that her arm didn’t look good. But she just said, ‘It’s nothing’.”
“Amy is not as responsive as we would like. It is worrying. It’s a very painful situation.”
After a fortnight in rehab earlier in the year, Amy is said to have returned to her previous levels of drug taking but Mitch insists she’s also working on her new album. She recently played one of her new songs for Mitch and he reports: “It was the normal dark stuff but absolutely fantastic. The new album should be out later this year.”
