Ryan PhillippeRyan Phillippe has dismissed suggestions he’s annoyed by ex-wife Reese Witherspoon’s relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal.

Ryan was said to have been annoyed by how much time Jake was spending with Ava and Deacon, Ryan’s children from his marriage to the Walk the Line star, and also at how Reese had started a high profile relationship so soon after their split in late 2006.

However speaking on The Howard Stern show recently, he called Jake “a good dude.”

“I love her and I want her to be happy, and it seems like she is.”

He added that their divorce was a “mutual” decision, with their marriage troubles exacerbated by their busy working lives: “Leading up to it, we had been spending so much time apart. That’s a huge part of it. There are so many obstacles.”
