Paris HiltonParis Hilton has continued her (self-)promotional tour of South Africa by hosting a VIP party in honour of herself in Johannesburg.

The socialite arrived in the country on Thursday, accompanying boyfriend Benji Madden and his band Good Charlotte on their current tour. While the band played at My Coke Feast 2008, Paris visited Jakaranda Kinderhuis School in Pretoria and is said to have spent two hours with the children, signing autographs and posing for photos.

Back in Johannesburg, the country’s biggest city, she and Benji attended the party, with onlookers describing them as being “affectionate” with each other on the club’s balcony.

Throughout the night, she waved over the balcony causing the assembled crowd to cheer wildly and at one point she took to the mic to say she “love[d] South Africa, the accent and everyone”.

The geographically-challenged heiress is then said to have added: “I love Africa in general - South Africa and West Africa, they are both great countries.”
