Denise RichardsAlmost three years after filing for divorce from Charlie Sheen, Denise Richards has filed paperwork to drop all legal references to her married name.

Although she kept her maiden name for professional purposes, the The World Is Not Enough star changed her legal name to Denise Sheen on marrying Charlie in 2002 but filed papers at a Los Angeles courthouse on Friday to legally restore her original name.

She also visited a tattoo parlour over the weekend to have a tattoo in honour of her estranged husband covered up. Denise had the previous cursive “Charlie” design change into a fairy.

A source close to the actress turned reality TV star explained: “She really want to move on from that disaster of a marriage.”

Denise and Charlie are believed to have recently reached a custody agreement over their two daughters Sam and Lola after nearly two years of bitter court battles.
