If around 10 mums and 1000 babies die in the UK each year from pre-eclampsia, then that means that around 20 families have lost a baby to it this week only.

I don’t wish Kerry, or anyone, any harm and I am glad that it has turned out to be something less fatal - but I wish her publicist team would be a bit more thoughtful about it.

To say we’re going to issue a blanket-ban on story about her from now on would be taking it a bit far but we’re going to pull back our coverage of the “star” even further than we have been since the pregnancy/miscarriage hoohah last autumn.
