Paul McCartneyPaul McCartney has fuelled rumours he’s enjoying a romance with New York business woman Nancy Shevell after they were spotted holidaying in the Caribbean together this week.

The friends were first romantically linked in October last year when but Paul is said to have wanted to keep their relationship a secret until the details of his divorce from Heather Mills were finalised.

A source close to the former Beatle told the Mirror that the break in Jumby Bay, Antigua is part in celebration of this month’s settlement: “Sir Paul’s general feeling is that he was vindicated after the court case. A lot of what was said about him was discounted by the judge. Now all he wants is peace and quiet.”

“They hired bikes and rode all around the island. They were laughing and looked like they were having a great time. But it is very early days [for the romance].”

“He is very close to Nancy, they have known each other a long time. Paul admires Nancy. She is beautiful, intelligent and has an inner strength that people warm to.”

Heather meanwhile is said to be livid about the new development and the luxury break.

A source told the People newspaper: “She went absolutely crazy. She was screaming, ‘I bet Paul paid for that old tart to go first-class. I can’t believe he’s wasting money on that thing when he won’t pay for his own child to go first-class’.”

“She’s obsessed by the first-class thing and thinks Paul is treating their daughter with less care than he treats his women.”

“Heather got on the phone to confront him about his mad spending. She demanded to know whether he paid for Nancy to go first-class. But he said she had her own money and could afford to pay for herself.”

“She wouldn’t let it go, though, and in the end he told her not to call him again unless it was about Bea. Then he hung up on her - which wound her up even more.”

The source added: “Heather is not a happy bunny at the moment. She thinks Paul is publicly celebrating their divorce and parading girlfriends in front of her.”
