Jessica SimpsonJessica Simpson was briefly hospitalised in Los Angeles over the weekend with a minor kidney infection.

According to In Touch Weekly, the actress checked into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Friday because she was “feeling achy” and had a fever.

Her spokesperson confirmed the short hospital stay yesterday adding that she had responded well to treatment and has now “left the hospital and is doing fine”.

After her last two movies flopped, the singer-turned-actress is returning to her original occupation and is currently working on a country album.
