Mariah CareyMariah Carey is reportedly living up to just about every diva stereotype during her current promotional visit to London.

The singer is said to have booked out all of the luxury suites at Claridge’s hotel, demanded the installation of £10,000 gym in the one next to her penthouse rooms for her exclusive use and has asked for a constant supply of fresh olives and nuts as that is all she is eating at the moment.

She is also said to have also required that a £50,000 antique table be flown over from New York for a CD signing session at Selfridge’s on Tuesday to promote her new albun ‘E=MC2′.

A source told the Daily Mail: “Mariah certainly looked like a queen in her castle. She was sat on a throne worth £1,000 and surrounded herself with cream roses and butterflies.”

She was later spotted partying at exclusive restaurant San Lorenzo until the early hours of yesterday morning - celebrating topping the US charts with new single ‘Touch My Body’ - then cancelled her breakfast show interview on Capital FM the next day at the last minute, claiming “she’s not a morning person”. Her later interview with BBC Radio 1 at 11am also had to be postponed until today.

An inside source at Capital told the Mirror: “We had made sure we complied with her list of demands. We even got a load of straws in because she only drinks fruit juice through a straw.”

“We can’t always wait around for guests, no matter how famous they are. We are working to tight schedules.”

The source added: “She wants complete control over all her radio and TV interviews and demanded they were pre-recorded so she can cut out the bits she doesn’t like.”

Mariah has previously dismissed suggestions she’s a diva, claiming it’s all “just fun and games”.
