Britney SpearsBritney Spears‘ former manager Larry Rudolph has confirmed that he’s been meeting with the star again.

Britney fired Larry last year after she felt he colluded with her parents to push her into rehab when she thought it was unnecessary. However in the meantime Larry has said in contact with her dad Jamie Spears and now Jamie is said to have convinced Britney that he only wants the best for her.

After rumours of recent meetings between the pair, Larry told Us Weekly: “I have spent time with her, and she is on the right path because she has people around her who really care about her well-being.”

But he isn’t masterminding the next step in her comeback just yet: “This isn’t the time to talk business. This is a time for healing.”

Speaking on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show on KIIS-FM this morning, he added: “What she needs now is she needs the public to be on her side and root for her, because she deserves it and that means a lot to her.”

“She [also] needs people around her who are there for the right reasons.”

A source close to the family added that they’re delighted that Larry is potentially back in the picture: “People close to Britney know that Larry is the best person for her. He’s the man who can get her back on the right track career-wise.”

In related news, Kevin Federline’s lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan has stressed that while Britney is getting better, she’s not fully recovered just yet.

He told People magazine: “Obviously before Jamie [was appointed as her conservator], it wasn’t a question of what was going to happen - it was a question of when.”

“Jamie is doing a really good job. There was a situation and that seems to be stabilized. Does that mean she’s cured? Of course not.”

Britney is still restricted to seeing her sons in court-monitored visits and lawyers for both sides are still caught up with the ongoing custody battle but Kaplan added that he is more hopeful that the case will be settled and he is looking “forward to the time when I can be bored”.
