Brad Pitt and Angelina JolieIt looks like there was at least one person close to the Jolie-Pitt family who was hoping that last week’s short-lived marriage rumours were true: Brad Pitt’s mum.

Even though she is said to have had problems with the relationship to start with, Jane Pitt is reportedly keen to see her son marry his girlfriend of nearly three years Angelina Jolie.

A source close to the family told OK magazine: “Jane has a really hard time with them not being married. She feels that they need to be married for the kids.”

“The whole family is still keeping their fingers crossed that someday they will tie the knot.”

The pair themselves have repeated denied plans to marry - because of their previous divorces and the inequality in marriage rights in the US - but the source added that Brad “would love to marry” Angelina if she was willing “but doesn’t want to force her, and I’ve never seen Brad so happy.”

The couple have four children together and currently pregnant Angelina is rumoured to be expecting twins this summer.
