Patrick Dempsey signs as new face for Avon aftershave

Patrick Dempsey has been signed up as the face of a new fragrance with cosmetics company Avon.

The three year deal is expected to earn the Grey’s Anantomy star around $5million over three years and the beauty firm confirmed the contract this week, saying: “We are thrilled to partner with Patrick Dempsey - an incredibly accomplished actor who has achieved such broad appeal because of his genuine authenticity, charisma and style.”

“We’re extremely impressed with both his on and off screen accomplishments, and have a shared commitment to giving back to communities in ways both big and small.”

But the company might not just have hired Patrick for his acting reputation alone: his wife Jillian is the company’s global creative colour director.
