Naomi CampbellNaomi Campbell could be banned from flying on any British Airways flights in the future after last week’s air rage incident.

Naomi was removed from a plane at Heathrow Airport and arrested after getting into an argument with cabin staff over problems with her luggage on Thursday. After eight hours in police custody, she was bailed to return to the police station next month but reports today claim the charge of assault - after she allegedly spat at a police officer - has been reduced to a formal caution.

But legal issues aside, British Airways still may block her from using their planes in the future in line with their “zero tolerance” policy towards those causing trouble on board flights.

A source close to the supermodel told the Daily Mail: “She is gutted about the whole situation because she had been a good customer of British Airways for more than 30 years.”

A BA spokesperson told the newspaper that no decision has yet been made but the case is under “review”: “We deal with cases on an individual basis and take appropriate action where necessary.”

“All incidents of abusive or disruptive behaviour towards fellow passengers or staff are taken extremely seriously and will not be tolerated.”

Naomi is said to have kicked off after she was told one of her items of luggage would have to follow on a later flight as it had become mislaid in the general luggage chaos experienced by many passengers using the newly opened Terminal 5.

Her spokesperson added that BA have “still failed to offer any explanation as why her bag went missing” and denied that the plane’s two hour delay was caused by Naomi, as “there was a delay already”.
