Naomi Campbell banned from BA flights after air rage
Naomi Campbell has reportedly been banned from flying on British Airways flights for the foreseeable future after her arrest on board one of their planes last week.
The airline is said to have made the decision after Naomi was ejected from one of their planes at Heathrow Airport last week. She is said to have reacted angrily when she found out one of her items of luggage would not make it onto the plane and would have to follow on a later flight. After verbally abusing cabin crew staff, she is said to have spat at a police officer and was held in police custody for eight hours before being released on bail.
Even though sources claim she is more likely to be given a formal caution rather than a full assault charge, British Airways is said to have made their decision based solely on her behaviour.
A source told the Mirror: “Banning her will send out a worldwide signal that such behaviour is totally unacceptable.”
“The decision was not taken lightly. She is a valued customer. But it is unthinkable for BA to talk about the safety of staff and passengers being our priority, then let her off.”
“Her behaviour was absolutely shocking. She abused our staff and police.”
Virgin Atlantic said that the London-born supermodel is currently welcome to fly to the US with them but a spokesperson added: “any decision regarding her future travel with us would depend on the outcome of any court proceedings.”
