Chace CrawfordCarrie Underwood has confirmed that she’s split up from boyfriend Chace Crawford.

The Gossip Girl actor sparked rumours he’d split from Carrie, who won American Idol in 2005 when he denied last week’s rumours that he was gay and seeing former NSYNC star JC Chasez.

Carrie confirmed the news to Extra during the Idol Gives Back event at the weekend, saying: “It was completely mutual, we’re both fine.”

“We broke up over text so it’s like ‘Peace out.’ It just didn’t work. We both knew it didn’t work and no hard feelings at all whatsoever…”

She added that they haven’t talked “in a while, but I mean, I don’t dislike him. So it’s no big deal.”

In related news, Chase is already said to have moved on after he was spotted flirting with new GG co-star Michelle Trachtenberg.

Onlookers at Upstairs in SoHo, New York told the New York Post the pair were “flirting heavily” on Saturday evening: “They were all over each other. She was drinking a beer and snuggling up to him.”
