Pete DohertyPete Doherty’s famous friends are unlikely to visit him during his current prison stay.

The Babyshambles frontman was jailed for 14 weeks on Tuesday after violating his probation and the terms of his court-imposed supervision order. He is currently being held at HMP Wormwood Scrubs in West London - but his ex-girlfriend Kate Moss and friend Amy Winehouse are said to be less than sympathetic towards his plight.

Pete and Kate’s on-off relationship finally ended last June and now Kate is engaged to The Kills guitarist Jamie Hince.

According to the Sun, Pete’s current girlfriend, model Irina Lazareanu frantically tried to directly contact Kate about the sentencing then when that failed, begged mutual friends to give her the news - but they replied: “She knows. She’s seen it on TV. She doesn’t care.”

Amy Winehouse, on the other hand, found it all a source of amusement. Pete is said to have comforted Amy over her husband Blake Fielder-Civil’s imprisonment but a source close to the singer told the newspaper that when she heard her “first reaction .. was to laugh”.

“Pete had told everyone he was just going to court for a quick appearance and had no idea he was going to jail.”

“She just laughed and kept saying, ‘I can’t believe it’. Pete’s just a comedy character to Amy. She thinks he’s a bit of a clown.”
