Melinda Messenger having “trial separation” from husband

Melinda Messenger has split from husband of ten years Wayne Roberts.

The glamour-model-turned-TV-presenter’s spokeperson yesterday confirmed that she was having a “trial separation” from childhood sweetheart Wayne.

A source close to the couple told the Sun there was no one else involved: “It’s simply a question of them growing apart. They seemed to have a fairytale marriage by showbiz standards.”

“But obviously there have been difficulties with Melinda becoming such a big star and Wayne having to remain in the background.”

“The split’s very amicable and they want to put the needs of their children above all else.”

The couple have three children together - eight year old Morgan, six year old Flynn and four year old Evie.
