Ashlee Simpson and Pete WentzPete Wentz has denied the rumours that fiancee Ashlee Simpson is already pregnant with their first child together and said there is a “witch hunt” surrounding their relationship.

Both Us Weekly and the US edition of OK magazine quote sources close to the couple to “confirm” Ashlee’s pregnancy with OK magazine’s source adding that they’re planning to marry as soon as possible because “Ashlee would like to walk down the aisle before she’s showing - although she’s very cute the way she’s always checking out her belly now and asking everyone, ‘am I showing yet?’”

But the Fall Out Boy star denied the news to MTV News yesterday, saying if Ashlee is expecting “it’s all news to me”.

He added: “There is a witch hunt for people to be pregnant whenever they get engaged in Hollywood.”

“I can’t wait for the story about how I’m really in a gay relationship and this is all just a cover. … I mean really, this is crazy. … I mean we’re engaged, that’s true, and happy about it.”

The couple confirmed their engagement last week and are expected to marry before the end of the year.

Pete is said to be considering designing the couple’s wedding rings - after he designed the ‘promise ring’ he gave to Ashlee late last year - but speaking at a promotional event for his Clandestine Industries fashion line at the weekend, he said he might design hoodies but he will leave Ashlee’s wedding dress up to the professionals.

He told E!: “I would not even try to step in and design Ashlee’s wedding dress. I don’t think she would want that - thank God. Anyone who would want a wedding dress designed by me, I would not want to marry them.”
