Britney SpearsBritney Spears is reportedly taking singing lessons during her downtime but isn’t thinking about a new album just yet.

A source told E! Online that the star has spent several days this week in a rehearsal space and recording studio in Burbank, California, working with voice coach Ron Anderson: “She’s doing it just for fun.”

“She’s just sitting at the piano, singing a little. She’s just in there to have some fun. It may lead to something down the road, but right now this is just part of her staying on the right track.”

In related news, Britney’s former friend/advisor Sam Lufti has agreed to a further extension of his restraining order to stay away from the star.

The order was originally issued in February and with agreement from Lufti, extended for the first time last month. It has now been extended until 31st July, which is also the date that Britney’s conservatorship agreement will be reviewed.

The restraining order stipulates that Lufti must stay at least 250 yards away from Britney and her family members at all times and he is also forbidden from contacting her in any way.

Sam’s spokesperson Michael Sands insists that his client is happy to agree to the extensions because he believes it’ll help Britney if there isn’t further fighting over her: “Sam and the family are communicating and cooperating trying to do what’s best for Britney.”
