Beyonce Knowles‘ little sister Solange Knowles has offered advice to Jamie Lynn Spears from one young mum to an even younger mum-to-be.

Solange was 18 when she gave birth to son Daniel in 2004 while 17 year old Jamie Lynn is expected to give birth to her first child this summer.

Speaking to Us Weekly magazine recently, Solange said that Jamie Lynn needs to “decide what’s best for you”: “You just have to make the best decisions for you.”

“Who are we to say what’s right and wrong for a person?”

“I’m sure a lot of people perceived that I was gonna be a young, irresponsible mom. I think that there are some moms who are 35 who are just as irresponsible.”

She added: “My son has been my focus ever since the day he was born. He’s been the light of my life, the inspiration behind everything.”
