Sandra BullockSandra Bullock and husband Jesse James’s car was hit by a drunk-driver on Friday night.

The pair were making their way back to their hotel in Gloucester, Massachusetts, on Friday night when a Subaru crossed road lanes and smashed into the front end of their vehicle.

A spokesperson for the local police Lt Gerry Cook said after the incident: “They were shaken up, needless to say. But they were fine - he was hugging her. Jess and Sandra were hugging. They said they were fine, they didn’t need medical attention. There were quite a few people snapping pictures of them.”

“It’s unfortunate. But it shows you that no one is immune from drunk drivers, no matter how famous you are.”

The driver of the Subaru was arrested and charged after a field sobriety report registered more than two and a half times the legal limit.
