Coleen McLoughlinColeen McLoughlin has been dumped as the face of Asda’s fashion label, George.

The WAG earned £3million from her two year contract with the company but was told that the contract wouldn’t be extended when it ended last month.

Spokespeople for both parties insist that the parting was amicable as Asda have decided to change direction. George brand director Fiona Lambert said: “Coleen has been a fantastic ambassador for us and we can’t thank her enough. She has worn George clothing to star studded events, always looked gorgeous and helped us at every opportunity.”

“But we want to show that our core fashions are for everyone.”

“We have been chasing younger customers rather than people who shop at Asda week-in, week-out – namely mums and dads who buy their clothing during the weekly shopping trip.”

Coleen’s spokesperson added: “The contract came to a natural end. Asda are changing their campaign to go after thirtysomethings, which is plainly not Coleen’s demographic.”

“[Instead] she is currently in talks with a number of other High Street brands.”
