MadonnaMadonna’s Malawian court hearing to finalise the adoption of son David has been postponed again after the star requested a delay.

The hearing at the country’s High Court was expected to take place earlier this month but Madonna requested that it be pushed back until this week as she was committed to work in the US promoting her new album ‘Hard Candy’.

A court official told Reuters yesterday that the hearing has now been pushed back a second time until 15th May “unless her lawyers ask for another date”.

A source added: “The [Malawian] government approved the adoption can go ahead so this is just a formality and Madonna isn’t in a rush to go out of her way to get the paper signed.”

Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie took custody of the now two year old boy in October 2006.
