Miley Cyrus signs seven-figure book deal for autobiography at 15
Miley Cyrus has signed a seven-figure book deal to publish her autobiography at just 15 years of age.
The Hannah Montana star made the deal with the Disney-Hyperion Book Group and, working with a more experienced writer, will describe her early life in Tennessee, her move to Los Angeles and subsequent fame, and the importance of her family, especially her mother Tish, in her life. The book will also include never-before-seen personal photos and family stories.
Confirming the deal, Miley explained: “I am so excited to let fans in on how important my relationship with my family is to me.”
“I hope to motivate mothers and daughters to build lifetimes of memories together, and inspire kids around the world to live their dreams.”
Disney Book Group executive Jeanne Mosure added: “It’s rare that you hear from someone her age that they want to talk about their family. How she sees her family in light of everything that she’s exposed to on a daily basis is pretty incredible.”
The book is expected to be released in Spring 2009 to coincide with the Hannah Montana movie.
