Hugh JackmanHugh Jackman has given his blessing to Scarlett Johansson’s relationship with Ryan Reynolds.

Hugh and wife Deborra-Lee Furness became good friends with Scarlett while they filmed both Scoop and The Prestige together in 2006 - and he’s just finished filming X-Men Origins: Wolverine with Ryan.

Hugh told Entertainment Tonight Canada recently that Scarlett was a key topic of conversation on set: “Ryan Reynolds is one of the funniest guys I’ve ever met,”

“And umm, we had a really good chat about his girlfriend, because I’m very fond of Scarlett, and both my wife and I are very [proprietary] about Scarlett, [and] he got a big thumbs up from me.”

“I’m giving my blessing … So Scarlett, if you’re watching, big thumbs up! He’s phenomenal.”
