Victoria BeckhamVictoria Beckham’s designer denim range has reportedly been dumped by many top Beverly Hills boutiques and consigned to bargain stores instead.

According to the Daily Mail, the jeans, which were selling for around $300 in stores such as Kitson and Fred Segal, are now available at designer discount stories for less than $70.

Reports claim the boutique owners have turned their back on the range after a lack of promotion by the former Spice Girl but other sources claim it’s more to do with quality: “The new Beckham range appears to be seriously overpriced for a line which is made, unlike other premium denims, in China out of a cheap fabric.”

Victoria’s limited edition VB Rocks range with Rock & Republic in 2004 frequently sold out at high-end stores despite the $250-$300 price tag but the source added: “Whatever Victoria learned about denim from working with Rock & Republic appears to have been lost.”
