Amy WinehouseAmy Winehouse has been placed under arrest after allegedly headbutting a man in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Amy is said to have attacked the man after he tried to help her into a taxi cab after a night out. Onlookers claim she said he had molested her as he reached out to assist.

Amy voluntarily submitted herself for questioning at a London police station this afternoon and, as is standard procedure in such a situation, she was placed under arrest.

A police spokesperson said this afternoon: “I can confirm that a 24-year-old woman has been arrested by appointment at a central London police station and is currently in custody.”

If found guilty of assault, Amy may face a maximum of six months in prison. Her husband Blake Fielder-Civil is currently in Pentonville prison on remand on assault and trial-fixing charges.
