Kelly BrookKelly Brook reportedly split from fiance Billy Zane after her family expressed their doubt in the relationship.

The model turned TV presenter confirmed her split from Billy earlier this week, which is said to have been sparked after Kelly reassessed her life after her father Ken’s death in November last year.

A source close to the family told the News of the World: “The truth is that Ken didn’t get on with Billy from the very start. He was suspicious of him and hoped Kelly would one day see things his way.”

The source explained that when Kelly found out about Ken’s cancer in June last year: “[she] wanted to bring the wedding forward but Ken wasn’t having it. He was sure she was making a big mistake.”

“Right up until the end, Ken’s dying wish was that she wouldn’t spend the rest of her life with Billy. He told her that before he died.”

Kelly’s mum Sandra also had her doubts about the Titanic actor but a second family friend told the People newspaper: “Only after Kelly said she was having doubts did Sandra admit she shared her daughter’s feelings.”

“Ken’s death made Kelly reassess her life, including her relationship with Billy.”
