Cameron Diaz screens new film to give family “a good laugh”
Cameron Diaz has revealed she held a private screening of her new film for her grieving family yesterday.
The actress revealed her plans in a note read out in her absence at a What Happens in Vegas press conference in Los Angeles yesterday, following the sudden death of her father Emilio last week.
She explained: “I was really looking forward to thus weekend getting to talk to my friends about a film I am so proud of [but following] the loss of my father, I have chosen to be with my family this weekend.”
“[Today] I am screening What Happens In Vegas for my family. It was a unanimous decision that we all needed to share a good laugh. After all that’s why we make films like these. So people can leave behind their worries for a couple of hours. Have a good laugh.”
She added: “I picture all of your smiles and it makes me happy. Thank you for your continued support. It is much appreciated.”
