I’ve been listening to the pre-release taster tracks from Scarlett Johansson’s forthcoming album ‘Anywhere I Lay My Head’ and I can’t make up my mind about it even though I’m rather fond of both Scarlett and Tom Waits.

It’s far more interesting and different from the usual bland actress-turned-singer pop offerings but I don’t know if that’s enough.

The video for the first single ‘Falling down’ is interesting too though and actually makes me like the music a little more - it grounds it or something.

It seemingly a day in the life of Ms Johansson and with the glam outfit and strange cameo by Salmon Rushdie, I wonder if it’s supposed to be a reference to one of her break-through roles, Lost In Translation - an ad shoot for the international market?
