Katie Holmes and Tom CruiseKatie Holmes‘ participation in last year’s New York Marathan has reportedly inspired her husband Tom Cruise to pull on his running shoes too.

Katie ran unannounced in the road race last November, cheered on from the sidelines by Tom and daughter Suri Cruise, and a source told the Mirror that now Tom wants to switch places.

The source explained: “When he saw her running that race, something kicked inside him and he decided he’d have to do it - possibly in Boston. That’s the kind of guy he is.”

According to the source, Tom has regularly been training on a treadmill at their Beverly Hills home and is keen to “crush” Katie’s time of 5 hours, 29 minutes.
