Pete DohertyPete Doherty will be released from prison on Tuesday 6th May - after serving just 29 days of his 14-week jail term.

Pete was sentenced to the jail term last month after repeatedly violating conditions of the suspended sentence and supervision order resulting from his May 2007 arrest.

But despite securing an early release, a friend revealed to The Sun that the Babyshambles singer has far from learned his lesson: “He’s planning to go straight to play a gig - and then get smashed.”

“He wants no business appointments for three days - so he can really go for it.”

It was claimed last month that Doherty, 29, took heroin in the detox unit of Wormwood Scrubs, which makes his early release even more of a surprise.
