Rob LoweRob Lowe’s wife Sheryl has hit back at the latest in a string of allegations about the couple by their former nannies.

Early last month, Rob and Sheryl filed pre-emptive lawsuits against three of their former employees, claiming they were the victims of an attempted $1.5million extortion scheme, led by former nany Jessica Gibson. A week later, Gibson filed a countersuit, claiming the former West Wing star repeatedly exposed himself and inappropriately touched her.

This week, a second former nanny Laura Boyce has made similar claims of harassment against the couple, particularly Sheryl. Laura claims Sheryl created an “extremely sexually offensive and hostile work environment … behaving in a … perverted, disgusting and crude manner” and “walked around naked, completely exposing herself”. Boyce also claims Sheryl used the “n” word to refer to the nanny’s boyfriend, an NBA player. In addition to the harassment charges, Boyce is also claiming wrongful termination, unpaid wages and other labour code violations.

In a statement released yesterday, Sheryl denounced Boyce’s allegation as “lies meant to embarrass and humiliate”.

She said she found it “sickening and disgusting” that former nanny Laura Boyce and her attorney Gloria Allred “would stoop so low as to drag a child into this latest, baseless, predatory lawsuit.”

“I find it deeply offensive the false allegation that I would use racially insensitive comments. I’m certain that my dearest and long time friend, and godfather to my children, Marcus Allen, would beg to differ with their charges. We do not see colour in my household; my children do not see colour. It deeply saddens me that I even have to explain this to my children.”

She added: “These false allegations are made all the more painful because our family has been betrayed by a woman we welcomed into our home and treated like family. … We are shocked that she has now chosen to destroy our right to peace, quiet, and privacy.

The Lowes are set to give depositions on the case on 19th and 20th May in Santa Barbara, California.
