Amy Winehouse & Mark Ronson fight over James Bond theme
Amy Winehouse has reportedly fallen out with frequent collaborator Mark Ronson over their track for the new James Bond film Quantum of Solace.
The pair spent a week working on the track in Oxfordshire last month hoping that the film’s producers would select it to be the official theme tune for the picture - but Amy is said to have stormed out after listening to the final mix.
According to the Mirror, Amy told Mark she thought it was “f*****g rubbish” before leaving the studio and refusing to work on it further.
On Friday, Mark confirmed that their work on the track had been halted and added: “We tried to work for a little bit. I’m not sure [Amy]’s ready to work on music yet.”
But sources close to Amy claim Mark is just passing the buck: “Amy and the rest of the team are furious by what Ronson has said.”
“Amy wasn’t happy with the finished product and let her feelings known. The whole things smacks of sour grapes. Amy is more than capable of working at the moment despite a turbulent few weeks. In fact, throwing herself into her music is very much an escape for her at the moment.”
“Mark presented a track to Amy, but she had other ideas about the direction it should take.”
“She has always made her own decisions about her music.”
Mark produced many tracks on Amy’s hit album ‘Back to Black’ and in return, she sang on his cover of the Zutons’, ‘Valerie’.
