Tom Cruise: couch-jumping was the only way I could express love for Katie Holmes

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes Tom Cruise has explained his reason for his mad couch-jumping on The Oprah Winfrey Show in 2005 - because he couldn’t describe his love for Katie Holmes in any other way.

The War of the Worlds star told Oprah this week: “I just felt that way, and I [still] feel that way about her.”

“I can’t even articulate it, to be honest. That feeling, that connection. Just who she is and what she means to me.”

He also denied speculation that his Scientology beliefs made him clash with Katie’s strictly Catholic parents, saying that they all get along well: “They’re amazing. I love them. You see why Kate is such an amazing woman - incredible integrity and strength. They’re family.”

After all the Media hype it is really nice to hear what Tom Cruise actually thinks. We see so many stories that imply argument, antagonism and so on. Yet that isn’t what Cruise feels at all, he says.
