Cheryl Cole: I hope people learn from my mistakes

Cheryl Cole has revealed that the coverage of her marital problems earlier this year made her see things about herself more clearly.

Speaking to the Mirror as Girls Aloud kicked off their 24-date arena tour in Belfast over the weekend, she said: “I feared I would crack up so in the end I stopped reading all the stuff that was being written about me and what was going on.”

“But it’s made me realise there are people out there a million times worse off than me.

She added that because she’s in the public eye, “people see me as a role model, but I want them to see I’m human and I make mistakes. I’m not perfect.”

“I want the young girls to learn from my mistakes.”
