Davina McCall to leave Big Brother to pursue acting career

Davina McCall is reportedly keen to reinvent herself after this year’s Big Brother comes to an end.

Davina has presented Big Brother’s eviction show since the reality series began in 2000 but is said to have told producers that this will be her last year on the show.

A source told the News of the World that the mum of three has signed with a new agent Michael Foster recently and she hopes he can help transform her career as he did for another client of his, Billie Piper: “[Davina] has finally realised the time is right to move on.”

“After doing so many series of Big Brother, she’s become seriously bored.”

“She’s very excited and convinced that Michael can turn her into a serious actor.”

An inside source at Channel 4 confirmed the news, saying: “Davina has had to make some very hard choices. There is an understanding at Big Brother that it’s very unlikely she’ll be back.”

“How many times can she keep on saying, ‘Big Brother House, this is Davina. You are live on Channel 4. Please do not swear.’? This really is make or break time for her.”

This year’s series is set to run for three months from the 5th of June to the 5th of September.
